A manufacturer of automotive oil pumps came to Barclay Machine with a need to perform final
testing on their finished pump assemblies. The result was an automatic machine that was
capable of testing two units simultaneously. The machine tracked both flow and
pressure data at various speeds. Automatic hydraulic clamps were used
to clamp the parts in the fixtures. An interface with the customers
SPC software was included so that each pumps test results were recorded.
With automated testing, variances such as operator errors are eliminated,
